Jury Comments: In contrast to the little we thought we knew about nanotechnology, the presence of the design seemed very grand. The site plan diagram suggests that the context of the site played prominently in the design scheme; however, the macro level conceptual relationships to the surrounding building might not be appreciated at the nano-scale. Parallels exist between this project and the Burchfield-Penney Arts Center that made this unbuilt project seem all the more familiar.
