The Arts Services Initiative of Western New York is making a "CALL FOR ENTRIES" in its 2015 Spark Awards Program.

The Spark Awards Program recognizes individual and organizational contributions to advancing the arts and cultural in the 8 counties of WNY.  They have introduced a new category this year titled “Arts Integration” which recognizes a “non-arts” project, program or initiative that has utilized the arts and culture to significantly enhance the project.  

This is an ideal way to recognize an Architect who individually or as a member of a team has made a commitment to incorporating art or cultural influences into a building project or development to improve the project’s function, cultural identity or aesthetic.

Last year's awards program featured a diverse crowd of 300 people and generated some good press.  The nomination process is simple and does not require submission of photography or other materials usually required by more "traditional" design competitions.
