Allied Members
Allied Members are organizations with a vested interest in the architectural industry that use AIA Buffalo/WNY as a platform to grow their industry knowledge, while networking & conducting business with other members.
Allied Members are employed outside of traditional architectural practice, but are involved in positions related to the field. They have an established professional reputation & include engineers, planners, landscape architects, marketing professionals, those involved in manufacturing & sales of products & materials used in the A/E/C. We offer several Allied Membership types that are specifically for non-AIA affiliated individuals or companies with a direct interest in the profession.
Allied Membership is intended to provide industry partners with direct access to AIA Chapter leadership and, in turn, the local architecture community. It also offers the opportunity to be part of the CEU program for you, your employees, and even as a provider. We will soon be adding events to our annual calendar that will provide the opportunity for better communication between all our member types, allowing industry partners and local Architects to better promote themselves.
We would love for all our industry partners to maintain a relationship with the Chapter. Those individuals and organizations who do will receive notification of chapter special events, the weekly email newsletter, and opportunities to promote the firm to the architectural community and beyond.
Become an Allied Member
All membership levels will be effective January 1, 2024 and will be for a 12- month period ending December 31, 2024. Allied members joining part-way through the calendar year are eligible for pro-rated pricing at the discretion of the membership committee.

Individual Allied Membership is intended for those persons who are industry partner members, in fields such as construction, engineering or product marketing and sales, and want to remain in contact with the architectural profession. This membership level is not a replacement for AIA membership. It is highly encouraged that Registered Architects become members of the AIA. Single practitioners can join the allied membership program at the Architecture Firm level if they choose not to be an AIA member.
Individual members will receive the following benefits:
Individuals' names will be listed on the AIA Buffalo/WNY Allied Member page and recognized at select events.
Access to a range of expertise and content with a peer network of over 360 AIA Buffalo/WNY members
Opportunity to participate in CEU and social events as a supporter or speaker
Membership pricing for all CEU programing & special events (for a single ticket)
Free or discounted rates to most networking events, as well as invitations to member-only events

Business and A/E Firm Partner membership is intended for non-architectural staff but can be utilized by any employee who is not an AIA Member. Business and A/E Firm Partners will receive the following benefits:
Company logo will be listed on the AIA Buffalo/WNY Allied Member page and in the weekly email.
Access to a range of expertise and content with a peer network of over 360 AIA Buffalo/WNY members.
Opportunity to work directly with our programming committee to develop local CEU.
